Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care

Overview

The objective of the FREC qualification is to benefit Learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of pre-hospital emergency situations.  The purpose of this qualification is to prepare Learners to be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective pre-hospital care in situations which can arise when providing emergency treatment and/or management. 


Guided Learning Hours

150 hours (3 weeks)


Prerequisites

 17+

Basic understanding of first aid


Mandatory Units

First response emergency care - 4 credits

First response emergency care of trauma - 6 credits

First response emergency care of medical conditions - 5 credits

Total value: 15 credits
